Help a young person get their life back on track
Help a young person get their life back on track
“Being locked up is another wave we have to overcome…”
Joshua* had never felt like he truly belonged anywhere. After a childhood of trauma and poverty, by the age of 14 he had fallen in with a local gang. He was out on the streets and in and out of trouble until he met Mark*, our youth worker.
Most of the young people we meet in juvenile detention don’t have the support of a loving, responsible adult to stand by them and stand up for them – they have no one who believes in them. With the right support, at the right time, young people like Joshua can get back on track and go on to lead healthy, meaningful lives.
Thank you for your support and understanding.
On behalf of our staff and our young people, thank you!
