Youth Off The Streets delivers accredited vocational education and training (VET) courses for young people and adults in the wider community.

The Youth Off The Streets RTO primarily operates out of Merrylands, NSW and offers online and in-person training opportunities.

What we offer to young people

  • An array of VET and accredited courses, including the Certificate II in Workplace Skills and the Certificate III in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Healthcare
  • A youth employment program, which supports young people through their journey to work-readiness and successfully gaining and sustaining employment
  • The Next Steps transition program, which contains a number of units borrowed from the Certificate II for Work and Vocational Pathways and is offered to students enrolled at our schools

What we offer to adults

  • The Power Within training program, which prepares participants to teach young people how to identify and cope with domestic, family and sexual violence (DFSV)

CHC40421 - Certificate IV in Youth Work

Unit overview

The Certificate IV in Youth Work (CHC40421), offered by Youth Off The Streets, is designed for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people. CHC52021 - Diploma of Community Services

Unit overview

The Diploma of Community Services (CHC52021), offered by Youth Off The Streets, provides the skills and knowledge needed to pursue a rewarding career in community services. Our comprehensive course is designed to equip students with the practical experience and theoretical knowledge to make a positive impact in their communities. 

This qualification reflects the role of individuals in the community, home or residential care setting who work under supervision and delegation as a part of a multi-disciplinary team, following an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability or some other reason. 

These individuals take responsibility for their own outputs within the scope of their job role and delegation. Workers have a range of factual, technical and procedural knowledge, as well as some theoretical knowledge of the concepts and practices required to provide person-centred support. 

The skills in this qualification must be applied in accordance with Commonwealth and State/Territory legislation, Australian standards and industry codes of practice.
