We have a young fundraising superstar among us. And guess what? He is only 4 years old!
Nicholas was heart-broken to learn that there are many young people living rough on the streets without a warm bed to sleep in. He decided he had to help.
Purchasing over 70 brand new beanies and fleece blankets, his mum kindly donated these items to vulnerable young people who were at risk during the COVID-19 lockdown.
On top of this, Nicholas and his mum have also set up an online community fundraising page to help raise much needed additional funds for Youth Off The Streets. Nicholas offered to donate his savings from his money box to kick things off!
With over $500 raised by members of the community so far, the donations will go towards helping our youth workers provide vulnerable young people with the urgent essential care they need to find safety at this challenging time.
Supporters like Nicholas prove that you’re never too young to make a positive difference in the community.
This gives us hope for the next generation who will continue to fight for the safety of Australia’s homeless and vulnerable young people.
