Units of Competency (UOC)

Not ready to commit to a full qualification? You can choose to complete individual Units of Competency (UOC) from any of the qualifications we have on scope.

What is a Unit of Competency?

A Unit of Competency is a nationally recognised training component that focuses on a specific skill set or knowledge area. Completing a single UOC allows you to:

  • develop skills in a targeted topic
  • meet industry, employment or compliance requirements
  • gain credit that may contribute toward a full qualification
  • learn at your own pace with flexible delivery options

This option is perfect for learners or organisations wanting to upskill in a specific area, meet job requirements, or gain targeted skills without committing to a full course.

How to enrol in a single Unit of Competency

You can enrol in individual units at any time. Our team can help you:

  • identify the most suitable units
  • understand assessment requirements
  • arrange delivery and trainer support
  • organise pathways if you later choose to complete the full qualification
