Violence was Evie’s* childhood, but it doesn’t have to be her future
First it was the drinking, then the screaming.
When her father escalated to physical violence, Evie – herself a child – did her best to protect her younger stepsiblings. Together they would hide in the basement, as their father smashed plates and slammed doors upstairs. The violent tirades sometimes lasted days.
Young people like Evie, whose childhoods are being consumed by violence, are most at risk of becoming homeless. They are in desperate need of a safe and loving place to call home and they urgently need your help.
Our teams provide urgent, critical assistance – from counselling, casework support, 24/7 crisis accommodation and more – to support young people who don’t have anyone else to lean on.
Please donate now to help young people escape violence and find their pathway to healing and recovery.

Together, we can make a difference
As Youth Off The Streets’ Founder, Father Chris Riley, once said:
“I am proud that we are an organisation that will never give up. We will never stop advocating for youth and we will never stop offering our nation’s most vulnerable the chance for a brighter future.”
Thank you for being someone who cares about helping young Australians recover from trauma, break the cycle of disadvantage and build a better future for themselves.
