The Board of Youth Off The Streets has announced the appointment of Judy Barraclough as Chief Executive Officer of Youth Off The Streets, effective from 12 April 2023.

Judy will bring to Youth Off The Streets extensive leadership and operational experience in both the for-purpose and corporate sectors, with specialist expertise in strategy and philanthropy. Judy’s not-for-profit experience includes eight years with The Smith Family, where she held several executive leadership roles, including Deputy CEO and Acting CEO.

Anne Fitzgerald, Youth Off The Streets’ Chairperson, said: “The Board is delighted that a person of Judy’s calibre is stepping into this role. Judy has considerable experience in the for-purpose sector in executive leadership and board directorship roles, and her passionate commitment to supporting young people and communities facing disadvantage is undeniable.”

“Judy has also consulted to a wide range of not-for-profit organisations on strategy, governance and fundraising. Before transitioning into the for-purpose sector, Judy held executive roles in large global and ASX-listed corporations.”

The Board warmly welcomes Judy to Youth Off The Streets and looks forward to working with her in continuing to progress our vision of ensuring all young people have the support and opportunities they need to be defined by their potential, not their circumstances.

Along with the Board, Judy acknowledges the incredible legacy of Youth Off The Streets’ founder, Father Chris Riley. Since his retirement from formal duties, Father Riley continues his connection with the organisation in an advisory capacity to the Board and CEO.

The Board also wishes to thank Fiona Campbell for providing excellent leadership as Acting CEO since late 2022.

In this role, Fiona has overseen the smooth running of the organisation and driven progress in several important strategic initiatives. Fiona will remain Acting CEO until 12 April, when she will recommence her role as Director of Organisational Capability.
