EDEN College brings disadvantaged kids back to education

EDEN College is an accredited high school for young people who want to complete Year 9 and Year 10.

We know that education is one of the most effective ways to break the cycle of disadvantage. At EDEN College we work with young people who have become disengaged from education and help them to get back on the right track.

“Some young people need extra attention and a learning program that responds to the way they learn best,” says Father Chris Riley.

There’s one teacher for every nine students at EDEN College. This means we can work closely with all our students and treat them as individuals.

We offer flexible programs that respond to the needs and talents of every young person who enters our classrooms. In addition to our Board of Studies-approved curriculum, students have the opportunity to gain externally recognised qualifications.

EDEN students don’t miss out on any of the technology or services available in mainstream education. We have state of the art classrooms, sport and recreation facilities, community gardens and a fully equipped digital arts and recording studio.

The formal education that students gain at EDEN College prepares them to tackle further education and employment – but that’s not all we teach our young people.

We’re all about PRIDE at EDEN College: our core values are Passion, Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Engagement. We want our students to respect themselves and to respect their peers. All EDEN College students help others through their participation in our Service Learning program.
