Can I tell you why Wednesday is my favourite day?
Our outreach program offers a safe and dependable sanctuary for children and young people growing up in serious disadvantage and we need your help to keep this vital program running.
Can I tell you why Wednesday is my favourite day?
Most days I dread the end of school. I’m thinking about whether we’ll have anything for dinner, if Mum will come home or if my dad has been drinking again. But Wednesdays are different because that’s the day I go to outreach.
Every week, Youth Off The Streets runs outreach programs across the country, creating safe spaces for children and young people facing poverty and disadvantage.
For many children, Wednesday is their favourite day of the week because it’s outreach day.
It’s the one day they know they’ll get a warm meal, a safe place to play, and a supportive adult who listens without judgement.
You can play a vital role in creating opportunities for children and young people who may be disconnected from school, experiencing housing instability or facing challenges like family breakdown and mental ill-health.
We rely on the support of compassionate people like you to ensure programs like outreach can continue.
Please donate today to help provide children and young people with meals, essential items and most importantly, the human connection that makes Wednesdays a day they can look forward to.
Thank you for making a difference
As Youth Off The Streets’ Founder, Father Chris Riley, once said:
“I am proud that we are an organisation that will never give up. We will never stop advocating for youth and we will never stop offering our nation’s most vulnerable the chance for a brighter future.”
Thank you for donating to help young Australians recover from trauma, break the cycle of disadvantage and build a better future for themselves.
Other ways to give
There are many ways you can help young Australians in need.
