Ripples – Art Off The Streets, is a collaborative exhibition highlighting the creative expression of over fifty students from Father Chris Riley’s Youth Off The Streets.
Students have engaged in a variety of mediums from traditional cyanotype photographic printing to sculpture, drawing, painting, writing, soundscapes, street art and film-making. All works are interwoven with the element of water, expressed both physically and metaphorically. The central work celebrates The Circle of Courage the underlying philosophy that unites all Youth Off The Streets schools.
While exploring identity students were gently encouraged out of their comfort zone, taking leaps of faith, while learning new ways of expressing themselves. Many were empowered by this experience and it is a privilege to share their personal and moving stories. Thank you for enabling students this opportunity to have their voices heard.
