COVID-19 Updates

March 13, 2020

This page is to provide updates regarding our services and COVID-19.

Due to concerns relating to the COVID-19, we have made the decision to temporarily alter the deliverance of some of Youth Off The Streets’ services.

This decision is made in line with the steps we are taking to protect the wellbeing of our young people, staff, volunteers and supporters of our organisation. At this stage the affect on our services varies in time, we may review the situation on a later date and extend these closures accordingly.

We look forward to having our services running as usual and will keep you updated on any changes or new information on this page. Thank you for understanding the situation.

Currently Affected Services

Schools

Our schools have moved from face to face on site contact to an online/remote access environment to ensure our young people are still receiving the best quality education while remaining safe.

Food Van and Street Walk

Vital homeless support services such as our Food Van and Street Walk will continue to run with small teams.

Corporate Volunteering

We are temporarily suspending our corporate volunteer opportunities for the foreseeable future.

Outreach

Outreach group activities have been paused, however our dedicated Outreach staff continue to offer individual support to ensure our young people are safe and have all the assistance they need.

Op Shops

For the safety of our volunteers and customers we have decided to temporarily close our four Op-Shops until further notice.

Corporate Office

To minimise risk in our Corporate offices we have introduced a rostered work from home system.

All other Youth Off The Streets services and programs are running to the same capacity whilst we continue to undertake vigorous cleaning and safety precautions.
