Today students from our independent high schools travelled from near and far to compete in this year’s Youth Off The Streets’ Netball Gala Day. Accompanied by volunteers from Network 10, the students headed out to Sydney Olympic Park to challenge each other in a full day of netball games.
The day was a great opportunity for students to get out of the classroom, and for Network 10 staff to get out of the office and do something healthy and fun.
We were very lucky to have the amazing arena at Sydney Olympic Park, home ground of the NSW Swifts! This proved to be inspirational for our students as they stepped into the arena for their games.
Our schools continue to run gala days and sports events like these to give students a chance to socialise with peers from other schools and get out of the classroom and learn new skills. Our dedicated students travelled as far as from the Central Coast and from Wollongong to get to Sydney Olympic Park and we thank everyone for this amazing effort. Keep an eye out for more gala days and events coming up throughout the year such as the Youth Off The Streets soccer gala day.
A big thank you to the Network 10 team and all of our schools for coming together for some friendly (and fierce) competition!
