On Friday 24 May we held our annual sell out event, the Lipstick Luncheon at Doltone House, Hyde Park. The day featured a range of exciting prizes that were won by the enthusiastic guests, a fine dining experience and inspirational guest speakers.
The Master of Ceremonies for the successful event was one of the most recognisable and respected faces on Australian television, Ms Sandra Sully, Senior Journalist of 10 News First! Sandra did an amazing job discussing important topics with the other successful women on this year’s panel.
On the panel we had the enigmatic Entertainment Editor and Studio 10 host, Angela Bishop, along with globally renowned Social Media Influencer, Laurel Papworth, and innovative Her Honour Judge Kate Traill from the District Court of NSW.
These influential women shared thoughts on their careers and what matters to them in an inspirational panel discussion that was enjoyed by all.
There was not a dry eye in the room when one of our young people discussed her journey with Youth Off The Streets. She gave an empowering speech that really highlighted the importance of the work we do.
Father Chris Riley then thanked everyone for their continued support to Youth Off The Streets.
“You give me life, you give me the power to keep going, thank you for being part of our journey.”
Deputy CEO Lex Lutherborrow also addressed the crowd to share the plans of where Youth Off The Streets is headed.
“We respond to crisis as it develops. We go to where the need is.”
Youth Off The Streets would like to thank everyone who attended for showing their continued support and we hope to see you all at next year’s lunch!
