Youth Off The Streets is encouraging the public to support The Real Estate Sleep Out on Bondi Beach on Monday, 24 July 2017 to raise funds and awareness for young disadvantaged people.
The event will bring real estate industry leaders together on the shores of Bondi Beach to experience what it is like to sleep rough for one night in solidarity for young homeless people. Damien Cooley, Director of Cooley Auctions, and initiator of the event, says the real estate industry can make a real difference to this important cause:
“I believe that the property industry has so much to give Youth Off The Streets and that there is a synergy between what we do and the value that Youth Off The Streets uphold.
Last year for the inaugural Real Estate Sleep Out, we had 104 people from the real estate industry sleeping out on Bondi Beach and raised just over $134,000. This year, we would love all of the real estate agencies to get behind and support this event by promoting it within their networks” he says.
This year, Damien Cooley is aiming to rise upon last year’s efforts. All funds raised will contribute to supporting the lives of the 44,000 young people who are facing the challenge of homelessness, neglect, abuse, and disadvantage.
Father Chris Riley, CEO and Founder of Youth Off The Streets, says the donations that we receive make a significant difference to the lives of young disadvantaged kids:
“The Real Estate Sleep Out provides the perfect opportunity for the community to support our kids. It provides the public with a unique opportunity to participate in something that is making a real difference.
The donations we receive are really crucial and help us continue to operate our services, helping more young people each day” he says.
You can make a difference by supporting this year’s Real Estate Sleep out.
Please join us on the 24th July on Bondi Beach. Your support can help Youth Off The Streets make a real difference to disadvantaged young people and offer them a second chance at a better future.
We hope to see you there!
