Wenty Fest!

September 5, 2016

On Tuesday August 30, Youth Off The Streets in partnership with Cumberland Council Youth Services held Wenty Fest, a street festival full of fun activities and free food for young people.

The event was opened at 3pm by Cherise Phillips from Cumberland Council Youth Services, followed by the welcome to country from Uncle Greg Simms, and speeches from Ranna Peera Director of Outreach Services for Youth Off The Streets, and Viv May the Administrator for Cumberland Council.

The day continued until 7pm and featured live music, a sausage sizzle, Aboriginal performers, basketball, face painting, arts and crafts and a photo booth.

The event was a great success with all in attendance having a great time!
