During 2015, Youth Off The Streets’ Eden College made strides towards improving our young people’s lives.
Eden College is an accredited high school run by Father Chris Riley’s Youth Off The Streets. The School runs off a system of optimising the educational experience for our students. Our staff and volunteers work closely with our young people to figure out what is best for them.
The courses we provide range from the traditional subjects such as Mathematics and English, elective subjects such as photography and cooking and service learning activities. These classes are all designed to provide educational and real-world job skills that assist our young people in their career search.
Leadership, health and employment are top priority for Eden College with personal growth and life skills workshops being abundantly available. Students are showing great interest in our life skills and sports days with 24 and 149 instances of attendance respectively.
We are also proud of our 11 students who have successfully completed their RoSA (Recognition of School Achievement), with four going on to complete years 11 and 12 in mainstream schools. We wish those completing their HSC luck!
Our annual report gives further detail into the work done with disengaged youth and can be accessed here.
Eden College is dedicated to their students, after another successful 12 months we aim to improve on these results next year.
